Campo Viejo winery was one of the pioneering wineries in Rioja, with long tradition.
The name of the bodega comes from its proximity to a vineyard of very old vines which the winemakers referred to as the Campo Viejo, or “Old Field”.
In 1959, two small Rioja wine cellars with a long tradition, Beristain y Ortigüela, joined forces to create Bodegas Campo Viejo.
In 2001, the old wine cellar changed to let path to the new: JUAN ALCORTA WINERY
The result is state of art winery, one of the best wineries in Europe, which embraces the old tradition of our company with the modern wine techniques of production.
